This package contains a sample Python script to automate manual cropping of the image with the TL toolkit. To avoid confusion, we'll refer to this as the tl_cropping_Python script throughout the documentation. tl_cropping_Python provides a python script that can be executed within the Matrox Imaging Library. This script can be used to quickly and automatically crop an image to a predefined rectangle. If the file doesn't already exist, the script will automatically create a new file and continue. The script can be run from the command line using the Python interactive interpreter or can be included in your existing Matrox Imaging Library Python scripts. tl_cropping_Python was developed based on customer requests to automate the manual image cropping operation. Often users wish to crop an image to a certain boundary without having to first identify it in the image. The following sequence of steps demonstrates how to crop an image. This example will use the 1280 x 720 resolution image stored in the HARDCOPY2 folder. We'll crop a 48x48 square centered around the upper left hand corner. Launch the Python interactive interpreter. To automate the manual cropping operation, the tl_cropping_Python script was developed. This script can be executed from the command line using the Python interactive interpreter or can be included in your existing Matrox Imaging Library Python scripts. Execute the tl_cropping_Python script from the command line using the Python interactive interpreter. tl_cropping_Python automatically creates a new file if it doesn't already exist. tl_cropping_Python will automatically open the input image and crop the specified rectangle to the image. tl_cropping_Python will display a progress bar while the image is being processed. tl_cropping_Python will display an error message if it encounters any problems while processing the image. tl_cropping_Python will exit the script if it encounters an error while processing the image. tl_cropping_Python will exit the script with no output if it encounters an error while processing the image. tl_cropping_Python will exit the script with a status code of 0 if it encounters an error while processing the image. tl_cropping_Python will exit the script with a status code of 1 if it encounters an error while processing the image. tl_cropping_Python will exit the script with
